Imagination is our greatest gift. We all have the ability to be the visionaries and dreamers of a new world
What will a zero carbon world be like? Use your imagination to answer that question. There are some fairly obvious answers:
- when all our energy for transport, industry and our homes comes from clean renewable sources, air pollution on the planet will drop to near to zero. Breath in! See the views!
- as renewable generation uses a limitless local resource of energy (the sun, wind, geothermal, gravity!) when all the infrastructure is in place, the unit cost will become very low, just what it takes to service and manage it;
- when our sources of food are produced exclusively with sustainable agricultural practices, water pollution will drop, biodiversity will recover. Listen to the birds!
- +++ imagine for yourself.
The mineral, plant and animal kingdoms exist in harmony and balance in a beautiful complexity — it is a wonder to perceive. Take a walk or sit down in a place where nature has been left to itself and you will notice. It is really only us human beings that have been living without balance. Let the natural world remind you how to return to harmony.
Zero carbon is really a metaphor for countless many paths and expressions for living life. What would come naturally to you? Imagine yours.
Make it a practice, like brushing your teeth. Be persistant.
Alice “There’s no use trying, one can’t believe impossible things.”Lewis Carroll: Through The Looking Glass
White Queen “I dare say you haven’t had much practice. When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes, I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”
One way is to explore and share your dreams together with others, it’s often more fun that way. You can also read about or experience what others have imagined and experimented with. Take a look at the Zero Carbon Inspiration pages.
The imagination does not have limits. Explore yours. Be one of the many dreamers of a new world!
